About Lori, Founder of That’s So Perfect!

The Friends Are Here, The Friends Are Here!

Welcome to That’s SO Perfect! I’m genuinely happy to meet you. Girl, pull up a chair (or a laptop) and make yourself at home here. While you’re at it, grab your favorite beverage – coffee, wine, protein shake, margarita, tea – whatever makes you happy – and relax. There’s no judgement here. This is a safe space where you can be perfectly imperfect right alongside the rest of us ladies trying to navigate menopause and midlife.

Who Is This Girl, Anyway?

Allow me to tell you a little about myself. I’m a Certified Menopause Health Coach Specialist, a Certified Personal Trainer, a Certified Nutrition Coach and the former owner of a large 24×7 gym where I helped over 800 members get fit. I also happen to be a CEO, COO and entrepreneur, having founded several successful businesses while also serving as a senior executive in Fortune 500 companies. I am proudly a mom of two (ages 19 and 23), a wife, friend, dog-mom, sports junkie, fitness fanatic, nature lover, lake girl, travel adventurer, sagittarius, and The Boss of our family. My super power is making order out of chaos and my passion is sharing what I’ve learned to help other people, but if you need help teaching your kid how to do math – I am NOT your girl. There’s a reason the gods invented calculators, and I am there for it.

I’ve Got High Standards But I’ve Also Got Your Back

I love deeply and am crazy loyal, taking pride in my “Mama Bear” nickname. I’m definitely a no excuses person, holding myself and those around me to the highest of standards. Sometimes that makes it hard to be part of my tribe, and I get it, but it’s not something I’ll apologize for. While I won’t cut you any slack on what I expect from you, I’ll do everything I can to help you be successful because I think we should all push each other to be the best version of ourselves that we can be. How else are we going to make this crazy world a better place?  You should know now that I have ZERO patience for bullshit of any variety.  My inner circle is small but filled with the most amazing people for whom I would do anything, and I know they would do anything for me. I don’t care where you’re from, how much money you make, if you went to college, what kind of car you drive or what kind of clothes you wear. I just care that you are a kind, loving, respectful and accepting human being.

Why I Founded That’s So Perfect!

Prior to my early 40’s, I had always been a relatively healthy and active person (excluding the freshman 15 I gained in college). Starting in my mid-40’s, I started having random symptoms and health issues. It took about 5 years of hit-and-miss diagnoses and a lot of different failed or only partially successful treatments before I was finally diagnosed with Lyme disease. I suspect it had gone untreated for more than 15 years. It’s such a poorly understood illness by the medical community and specialists are so rare – my only choice was to research it like crazy so that I became knowledgeable enough to advocate for myself while seeking treatment. It took a couple of years of treatment to get it under control. Shortly after that, I started developing new and different symptoms. That took another 3 – 5 years of trial and error across different specialists and either feeling ignored or receiving incorrect diagnoses before I finally ended up in front of a menopause care specialist who was able to right away explain to me that I was nearing the end of perimenopause and close to transitioning into menopause. Prior to meeting with her, not one single doctor I had met with had suggested menopause might be the cause of my new symptoms. I was so pissed off at the years of lost opportunity for treatment and suffering from symptoms! Just like my Lyme research days, I threw myself into researching menopause so I could be a stronger advocate for myself.

The more that I learned through research and the more that I talked with other women my age, the more I realized that the extreme lack of research, training and education around menopause is a serious injustice for the global female population. Quite frankly, it left me feeling furious at the many years in which I had little to no control over my health and couldn’t find anyone to take me seriously enough to identify the root cause and get treatment – just like my “Lyme years”. I lost several years of vitality, happiness and overall health by not having perimenopause diagnosed and not having healthcare providers knowledgeable enough about treatments.

I’m not one to sit on my laurels and hand control of my life over to someone else, nor am I willing to be a victim of circumstance, so I decided to turn all that menopausal rage into something good. In 2024, I decided to combine my experience as a gym owner, my passion for health and fitness, and my menopause experience by founding That’s So Perfect! I spent the first year researching the market and the many different topics of menopause-related health and wellness. There’s SO MUCH demand across so many topics, I realized I can’t possibly become an expert in all of it. So I researched some more, and narrowed in on the topics that were most in demand AND had the potential to be most impactful immediately to women in peri-/menopause. Once I narrowed the list down to fitness, nutrition, symptoms and treatments, I went back to school to get the necessary training so I could correctly and confidently coach other women through menopause. In the summer of 2025, I completed my certifications for menopause health coach specialist, personal training and nutrition coaching. In the fall of 2025, I left my corporate career to focus full-time on That’s So Perfect.

By embracing your calling and refusing to hide your glow, you wouldn’t just make your world brighter, you’d light the way for the women who come behind you.

I Don’t Care If Your Tiara Has Seen Better Days – Grab It And Let’s Go Build A Bad A$$ Queendom

I love the phrase “Kicking Ass and Taking Names.” I’ve worked really, really hard to get where I am in life, and you’ll never hear me apologize for it or for rewarding myself along the way. I believe women are brilliant, creative and courageous goddesses with an endless capacity to love. We quietly carry the weight of the world on our shoulders while balancing a baby on one hip, a bag of groceries on the other hip,a briefcase slung over our shoulder, and a tiara upon our head. We’re the ones who keep this world spinning on its axis. We truly can do anything we set our minds to. We DESERVE to have better healthcare, we DESERVE to be fit, feral and fabulous.

I’ve Found My Calling, Now Let Me Help You Find Yours

Being a menopause fitness, nutrition and health coach allows me to leverage all of my strengths and interests to pursue a lifelong dream of helping women be the best version of themselves. I’ve always wanted to be an author / creator. I’m also an introvert, but I still need a connection with people – at an appropriate social distance, LOL – as in from behind my laptop rather than in person at a party. I crave knowledge and have always enjoyed the process of seeking and finding answers to questions. I jokingly tell my friends that I have a “Google PhD” in a looonnnnggggg list of subjects. I also love helping people. I get a rush when I can share something I’ve learned (especially if it was the hard way) that will make someone else’s life a little easier. I am unapologetically all-in when it comes to empowering other women. I truly believe That’s So Perfect! is my calling, that this is precisely where I’m supposed to be at this moment in time.

Now I’d like to help you make the most of your menopause health, wellness and midlife happiness journey. Come on, girl, you know you wanna be fit, feral and fabulous! Let’s make it happen together!
